Are you feeling overwhelmed?

The reality is that a large part of what brings us to this Summit is the devastation of wildfires. Many of us in attendance have been impacted or traumatized by these disasters – whether as a community resident, first responder, in your work directly with survivors, and in so many other ways. The subject matter may be difficult for anyone, at any time, for any reason.

In acknowledgement of this, we have designed space for anyone that feels the need for support. This space includes:

  • Crisis Resources, including hotline numbers like 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline for anyone experiencing distress to receive support in English or Spanish.
  • A laptop and headset with immersive resources (nature sounds, videos)
  • Volunteers available to go on walks or direct you to a quiet space

Please note, this is NOT medical advice and there are NOT trained medical professionals available as part of this event.

IF YOU ARE HAVING AN EMERGENCY, CALL 911.

If you are thinking about harming yourself or attempting suicide, tell someone who can help right away

  • Call 911 for emergency services.
  • Go to the nearest hospital emergency room.
  • Call or text 988 to connect with the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline . The Lifeline provides 24-hour, confidential support to anyone in suicidal crisis or emotional distress. Support is also available via live chat . Para ayuda en español, llame al 988.
